GALLERY WALL PLANNER
Picture hanging measurements
The measurement table gives each frame’s left and top edges, plus one centered hanger point. Hanger X = frame left + half the frame width. Hanger height from floor = wall height − frame top − the entered hanger drop. Hanger drop is measured from the outer top of the frame to its actual hanging contact point.
How it works
Measure the real hardware: a wire, sawtooth fitting or pair of hooks may need a different plan. This tool models a single centered hanger only; it does not select anchors or certify load capacity. Check the wall, hardware instructions and your measurements before installing. The print drawing is a reference, not a life-size drilling template.
Gallery wall layout ideas
Start with the usable width and height of your wall. Add the outer dimensions of your frames, including the physical frame border. Choose a grid for regular spacing or a salon layout for a mixed collection. The starter layouts are editable examples, not fixed rules.
↗02Frame sizes & spacing
Enter a frame’s full outside width and height, not just the print or photo size. Mat border controls the visible border around the artwork in the preview. It does not change the frame’s outer dimensions. Uploaded photos are cropped to fill that opening.
